(Nights) Overview: This position is designed for a skilled Labor &
Delivery Registered Nurse who will work night shifts on an
as-needed basis within our women's and children's services. The
nurse will deliver comprehensive care to mothers and newborns
throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
Responsibilities include attending births, performing newborn
resuscitation, and assisting with cesarean sections. The role comes

Position Summary: Our women's and children's services encompass a
wide range of facilities, including 12 Labor & Delivery Suites, 2
Obstetric Operating Rooms, 6 High-Risk Perinatal Suites, 14
Mother/Baby Couplet Care Suites, a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU) featuring 19 private suites, and a 20-bed
Pediatric/GYN/Surgical unit. The Transition Nursery RN will provide
essential care to newborns during their critical first two hours of
life. This role includes attending deliveries, performing
resuscitation, conducting comprehensive assessments, and ensuring
the well-being of newborns. Responsibilities also involve
administering prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring and
documenting the condition of newborns, preparing women for cesarean
sections, and managing recovery for both vaginal and cesarean
deliveries. Additionally, the RN will assist the department by
stocking supplies and performing various tasks as required.
Effective communication with the healthcare team, including
obstetricians, pediatricians, and fellow nurses, is essential.
Qualifications: Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing
program Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of
Arkansas Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart
Association Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor &
Delivery Experienced L&D RNs Only - Prior Labor & Delivery
