Multiskilled individual with primary responsibility to maintain
equipment in a proactive manner; identify, troubleshoot and repair
both mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all factory
equipment. Perform all preventative maintenance as scheduled to
drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability.
Build operator technical skills and capability.
In alignment with Act 593(B) this position is considered safety
sensitive as this employee peforms installation, calibration,
maintenance and repair of all measuring instruments and
- Maintain Factory Equipment -
- Identify defects, execute maintenance plan and troubleshoot
- Work in various areas of the plant including: Process areas,
Primary and secondary packaging equipment, Material handling and
- Work on mechanical system - Hydraulics, Pneumatics and
Mechanical Drive systems
- Understand Power distribution system (up to 480 volts)
- Basic Control systems knowledge - Basic PLC, Motor, sensor,
drives and Basic electrical circuits, Basic understanding of device
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills to maintain,
optimize and improve production equipment reducing breakdowns, with
key plant indicators such as safety, quality, cost.
- Build capability -
- Coach operator skills- adjustments / changeovers for new and
improvements in existing process. For example: new centerlines,
improved cleaning process, improved changeover process,
- Help building technical procedures
- Train other technical resources as needed
- Use of continuous improvement system such as TPM / Lean
- Use and execute maintenance systems and documents as
- Identify and create Work orders
- Perform time entry and technical feedback on work performed to
improve planned maintenance
- Improve / Create necessary task list
- Complete Planned Maintenance first time right and in a timeline

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
In addition to high school graduation/GED, needs specialized
training such as apprenticeship in a trade or technical courses.
Additional training beyond high school graduation is required.

Employee must meet all requirements related to NQMS (Nestle Quality
Management System) and ISO (International Organization for
Standardization) standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental
Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety.
Incumbent is preferred to have 3 years of Journeyman experience
maintaining, repairing and trouble-shooting the following: Complex
manufacturing equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic drive systems,
mechanical drive systems, packaging equipment, basic electrical
knowledge, welding and fabrication, basic machining skills, basic
computer skills as well as being able to read blue-prints
(P&ID) and operate CMM (SAP/EL) computer maintenance
