St. John Medical Center is a Trauma Level II hospital and staffs 24/7 to treat emergency and trauma patients along with scheduled procedures.  We have 43 Operating Room suites and perform approximately 20,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries a year.  As a Registered Nurse Circulator , you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge of procedures and techniques as we offer a variety of specialties and opportunities for professional growth. Specialties offered are: Cardiovascular, Vascular, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Urology (Kidney Transplant), Robots, Gynecology, Plastics and Eyes. What You Will Do As an Associate with St John Health System, you will have the opportunity to facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures within the operating suite. As a valuable member of the Operating Room team, your expertise in the theory and application of nursing techniques and your combined knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies are used to facilitate a successful operation. Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: Required Credential(s): BLS Provider credentialed from the  American Heart Association (AHA)  obtained within  1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Registered Nurse credentialed from the  Oklahoma Board of Nursing  . Licensed  Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: Diploma  Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required Work Experience: None required.
