Overview:Under the supervision of the CT Supervisor and the Radiologist, performs CT examinations. -Perform CT examinations utilizing established protocols of technical factors, patient positioning, and computer manipulation. -The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy. The CT Tech should have a personable demeanor and a strong understanding of anatomy and computerized tomography. The CT Technologist will prepare patients for procedures by providing clear instructions and answering questions to reduce anxiety. The CT Technologist is responsible for providing and applying principles of radiation protection during exams, patient services, and continuous quality improvement. -
Qualifications:

• Experience: -New CT graduates welcome. -Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.
• Required Education: -Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training.
• Preferred Education: -
• Licensure: Current Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License.
• Certifications: -Has a Current ARRT Registry in Compliance with Continuing Education. Registry in ARRT (CT) or actively pursuing this registry. Maintain current CPR certification .
• Other: -Performs duties in the manner that reflects the basic Mercy Values of love and concern for others. Demonstrates respect for others (patients, visitors, general public and fellow employees) through behavior that exhibits a willingness to be helpful, common courtesy, and friendliness; strives to be a faithful, co-operative team member; industrious in giving his/her best efforts creatively for the welfare of the patients and the medical center.
