The People Function is currently seeking a strategic and hands-on business aligned Senior Inclusion & Diversity Partner who will be responsible for the development and delivery of global inclusion and diversity strategies for Mercer.. This role is based in New York, NY or London, UK.. The Inclusion & Diversity Center of Expertise (COE) collaborates with the other teams in our people function to deliver integrated core people services and programs that enable inclusion and diversity across the firm. The COE provides strategy, design, and subject matter expertise to the organization in DEI and implements programs and processes that are impactful, simple and user-focused in a fast-moving environment.. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business working in partnership with the Chief People Officer and the People Leadership Team to provide guidance on workforce diversity best practices, programs and processes to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce and to promote the use of diversity in support of business and enterprise goals. You will play a critical role as we seek to drive greater consistency and collaboration and adopt a One Marsh McLennan approach across our inclusion and diversity practices.. In this crucial role you will design, execute and evaluate critical DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) efforts for targeted populations, ensuring solutions are engaging, user-focused and meet colleague and business expectations. You will contribute to the People Function efforts in creating opportunity and growing together by strengthening inclusion across global Marsh McLennan colleagues.. What's in it for you:. As an experienced DEI practitioner with relevant subject matter expertise you will manage large-scale projects or processes and solve complex problems.. Report to the Deputy Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer and be a critical member of both the Marsh McLennan Inclusion & Diversity COE Leadership Team as well as the Mercer People Leadership Team.. Bring a relentless focus on implementation, the colleague experience, DEI program and process effectiveness through KPI monitoring and feedback, as well as enabling other parts of the People Function to communicate and integrate our DEI efforts. We will count on you to:. Act as a trusted advisor to CPOs, People Partners, Sr. Talent Partners, and business leadership offering DEI related insight. Champion a culture of change to embrace inclusivity and implement through best practices, programs and processes to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce. Translate business requirements into solution design requests within Inclusion & Diversity COE; works with CPO, Senior Talent Partner and Executives to set DEI priorities for the business that ladder up to Marsh McLennan Inclusion & Diversity strategy. Cascade Inclusion & Diversity COE agenda and key initiatives set at executive level and partner with business unit People Partners and leadership to execute and measure success. Liaise with Regional Inclusion & Diversity Leaders and central Inclusion & Diversity COE to ensure business DEI priorities are being supported. Liaise with relevant People Function COEs to advise on business unit specific requirements and adaptations required for any programming. Partner with Talent Development COE to close the diversity gaps in the talent pipeline and make learning content / process adjustments to enable a more diverse workforce. Be accountable for collaborating with Talent Partners and People Partners to drive DEI as central to the Talent Development agenda. Drive accountability for DEI across people function and provides guidance and support to help enable and upskill. Understand and track DEI efforts across the globe with a business specific lens; monitor business progress through data and leverage that insight to shape efforts for impact. Respond to commercial business DEI needs client requests, RFP responses and support information requests for local regulatory needs. Aims to enable cross business and function connections within region and create visibility into local efforts. May represent Marsh McLennan within and outside the firm by attending and participating in external diversity conferences and organizations. May manage/oversee the business Inclusion & Diversity budget. What you need to have:. Change Agility: Proven ability to flex own style to be both strategic and hands-on when required. Client Service: Proven ability in successfully operating in a matrixed (geographic / functional) global work environment. Collaboration: Ability to collaborate and influence with direct and indirect accountability as well as build trust with senior stakeholders and peers. Technical Expertise: Subject matter expertise in at least 3 key areas of I&D (e.g. racial equity, gender, LGBTQ, inter-generational working, disability, neuro-diversity, social mobility, etc) with a solid knowledge of HR technology / support tools. Extensive business and human resources experience in a growth environment with substantial organizational change. What makes you stand out:.
