Summary of Job Duties:
This person will coordinate a comprehensive system of career
guidance and advisement, which includes UA Cossatot (UAC) services
that support student achievement and local and state services that
support student job placement.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Guides Skilled & Technical Sciences, Business, Criminal
Justice, and Agriculture students through their chosen programs of
study to graduation and on to job placement.
- Advises assigned students using the appropriate UAC degree
- Refers students to appropriate UAC support groups that fit
their individual needs.
- Maintains secure, accurate, and confidential records concerning
- Works with the UAC Director of High School Programs and area
high school Career Coaches and guidance counselor to identify
seniors interested in UAC STS programs of study.
- Works the UAC Public Services & Workforce Development
Department to maintain a data base of area industry listings for
student job placement.
- Assists students with job searches in their last semesters
- Develop a thorough knowledge of Carl Perkins funding
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years' experience in educational environment preferred
- Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
- Strong human relations and interpersonal skills.
- Career Development Facilitator (CDF) Training Certificate or
obtain one within a year of employment.
- Frequent travel between campuses
