The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for
providing direct patient care to patients of all ages in a
personalized and compassionate manner, while adhering firmly to
HIPAA guidelines. The ED nurse is responsible to assess patients;
plan and evaluate their care; educate the patient and family as
needed; utilize appropriate resources to optimize patient care and
patient flow; follow the Medical Center's pain assessment policy by
assessing the complaint of pain and assisting with management of
pain; participate in the Medical Center's patient safety/risk
management program, as well as Quality Improvement. The RN is
responsible for directing and overseeing the activities of
Education: Graduation from an approved registered nursing
Licensure: Current licensure by the Arkansas State Board of
Experience: One year RN acute care. Critical care/ER experience
preferred. New graduates may be considered on an individual
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. If not ACLS or PALS
certified, then certification is required within 6 months of start
