Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution delivering a vast array of food and food-related products nationwide, is seeking dependable and skilled CDL Class A Delivery Drivers. As part of our transportation team, you will directly contribute to our continued success by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our valued customers. From local family-owned eateries to prominent nationwide chains, your role supports our commitment to excellence in distribution and customer service. Safely operate a tractor/trailer truck to fulfill company delivery schedules and meet customer expectations. Ensure all shipments are correctly loaded onto truck and verify shipment accuracy against delivery documents. Efficiently plan delivery routes to maximize time and fuel efficiency, adapting as necessary to road conditions and traffic. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, acting as a positive representative of Performance Foodservice. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including compliance with DOT standards. Process delivery paperwork, obtaining necessary signatures and returning documents to the transportation department upon route completion. Strong driving skills and familiarity with DOT regulations. Ability to operate electronic equipment and software (e.g., GPS, AVL units, CB). Good communication and customer service skills. Physical fitness, able to handle the physical demands of loading/unloading cargo. Problem-solving abilities and effective time management.
