operations.The role reports to the Regional General Counsel,
Process Automation (PA). As a Paralegal & License Specialist, you
will be working with PA Regional Counsel of Americas, on behalf of
the four ABB Business Areas for contractor licenses in all states
and Integrity, to provide paralegal and administrative support to
PA attorneys. Provide a full range of Integrity support and
licensing functions, including contractor licenses, managing
outside counsel, managing PA expenses and systems and assisting
with overall PA processes. Your responsibilities
- Work with internal and external attorneys and professionals
regarding a variety of matters, focusing on Integrity reporting,
channel partner processing, license registration, CMMC database
maintenance and other compliance issues, but potentially also
supporting other PA activities such as litigation, disputes and
- Assist with preparation, filing, prosecution, and maintenance
of U.S. contractor licensing; manage integrity PA database.
- Assist with managing PA budgets, expenses, invoices and
accruals and administrative set up of new matters, including
tracking of outside counsel billing and invoices.
- Assist with other general ABB processes and systems, including
ones related to HR, accounting, finance, SharePoints and the like.
- Bachelor's degree, a degree in paralegal studies or paralegal
certificate from an ABA approved program.
- Minimum 10 years of paralegal and executive admin experience,
with minimum 5 years of paralegal experience, in a law firm or
in-house setting with some in-house experience preferred.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would
permit them to work for ABB in the US.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a large company taking
care of license registration.
- Highly proficient knowledge of word processing software,
spreadsheet software, and patent/trademark docketing software;
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications including MS
Word, Excel, PowerPoint software, SharePoint and other cloud
applications; Generally, a tech-savvy ability.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal attorney
supervision on a variety of projects simultaneously, with excellent
customer service skills and responsiveness, and be flexible in
accepting new roles and responsibilities; Demonstrated ability to
work in a fast-paced environment and manage a significant
