Job Description Ortho - Sports opening in MichiganFull timeAlma, MiA Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician is sought for a full-time opportunity in Alma, Michigan, with a satellite clinic location in Clare, Michigan. This position is ideal for an experienced physician or a graduating fellow looking to join a well-established sports medicine practice focused on non-surgical musculoskeletal care.Position Overview Full-time outpatient sports medicine practice Primary clinic location in Alma with satellite coverage in Clare No call responsibilities Replacement position for a departing providerSchedule Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.Practice FocusThe sports medicine physician will focus on the diagnosis, management, and non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and disorders in patients of all ages. Scope of care includes: Acute injuries such as sprains, strains, contusions, and joint pain Non-surgical fractures and dislocations Chronic and overuse injuries Sports-related medical conditions Concussion evaluation and management Diagnostic and procedural ultrasound Restorative medicine Performance and arts medicineWhen surgical intervention is necessary, the physician will coordinate and expedite referrals to orthopedic or subspecialty surgeons.Qualifications MD or DO degree (U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent) Board eligible or board certified Completion of a Family Medicine residency Completion of a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Michigan Eligible for a Michigan Controlled Substance License
