As a PRN Psych RN, you will provide compassionate and tailored nursing care to psychiatric patients, ensuring their comfort and helping them manage their conditions effectively. This role requires adaptability, strong psychiatric knowledge, and the ability to work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for psychiatric patients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to modify care plans based on patient’s condition and responses. Administer medications and monitor side effects. Document patient's status and the care provided. Educate patients and families on managing illnesses and treatment plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. Support and educate patients dealing with emotional and psychological disturbances. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Strong clinical skills in psychiatric nursing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with electronic health records (EHR). High level of compassion and empathy. Crisis intervention skills. Valid RN license in the state of Oklahoma. CPR certification. Certified Psychiatric Nurse (CPSN) certification preferred.
