in healthcare. About the Role: As a Rad Tech I, you will play a
critical role in the diagnostic imaging process by performing
high-quality radiographic examinations to assist physicians in
diagnosing and treating medical conditions. You will operate
sophisticated imaging equipment to capture images of patients'
internal structures while ensuring patient safety and comfort
throughout the procedure. This position requires meticulous
attention to detail to produce clear and accurate images that meet
clinical standards and regulatory requirements. You will
collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to review imaging
results and maintain detailed patient records. Ultimately, your
work will contribute significantly to patient care by providing
essential diagnostic information that supports effective treatment
planning. Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an accredited
Radiologic Technology program. Certification or eligibility for
certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT). Valid state licensure to practice as a Radiologic
Technologist in the state of Oklahoma. Basic knowledge of
radiographic procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety principles.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively
with patients and healthcare teams. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a hospital or clinical radiology department.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital
imaging software. Demonstrated ability to handle emergency
situations calmly and efficiently. Commitment to continuing
education and professional development in radiologic technology.
Responsibilities: Prepare and position patients accurately for
radiographic imaging procedures. Operate radiographic equipment to
capture diagnostic images following established protocols. Ensure
patient safety by adhering to radiation protection guidelines and
infection control standards. Maintain and calibrate imaging
equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality. Document
procedures and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with
healthcare regulations. Collaborate with radiologists and other
healthcare team members to review and discuss imaging results.
Assist in managing imaging supplies and inventory to support daily
operations. Provide compassionate care and clear communication to
patients to alleviate anxiety during procedures. Skills: The
required skills enable the Rad Tech I to perform precise imaging
procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort, which is
essential for producing diagnostically useful images. Strong
communication skills are used daily to explain procedures to
patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals effectively.
Technical proficiency with radiographic equipment and digital
imaging software ensures high-quality image capture and proper
equipment maintenance. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with
EHR systems, enhance workflow efficiency and accurate
documentation. Additionally, problem-solving and critical thinking
skills are applied to adapt to varying patient needs and clinical
situations, ensuring optimal imaging outcomes.
