Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions. While you will have a home unit, we cross-train our nurses between the various specialties to provide a strong foundational knowledge of all types of patient conditions, comorbidities, procedures, etc. Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their every day work, Med Surg is the place for you!Cardiac Unit Details:Patient Population: close monitoring and nursing care for patients who have cardiac and renal anomalies including hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis and cardiac patients that do not require cardiac drips.
