*SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE*$10,000 Sign On Bonus for full-time RNs with at least 1 year of experience(NO CONTRACT) Med Surg Overview: Mercy Fort Smith's Med Surg Service Line is made up of 7 specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs. Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions. Surgical Details:

• Patient Population: Gastric Bypass, and any surgery that deals with the abdominal areas
• All 29 rooms are equipped for cardiac telemetry. The purpose of this unit is to provide close monitoring and nursing care to adult surgical patients, specifically abdominal, thoracic, and vascular and other surgeries.
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 6:1
• # of Beds: 26
• UAP to patient ratio: 9:1

      • Experience: Minimum 3 years bedside related experience
      • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
      • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
      • Certifications:Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire. We Offer Great Benefits:
