Assists with nursing activities in assigned unit per shift.
Implements nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff
relations, and efficiency of service. Observes nursing care and
visits patients to ensure that nursing care is carried out as
directed, and treatment administered in accordance with physician's
instructions. Direct preparation and maintenance of patient's
clinical records. Inspects patient rooms and unit for cleanliness,
orderliness and comfort. Assists physicians, and keeps informed of
special orders concerning patients. Participates in orientation and
training of personnel. Investigates and resolves complaints or
refers to Director, Patient Care Services. Following training and
competency assessment, performs point of care testing as
Requirements Licensure, Registration, Certifications:
LPN/LVN, State of Oklahoma. Must attend Advance Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from
an approved American Heart Association training program or CPR for
the Professional Rescuer from the American Red Cross. Basic
Dysrhythmia and Hemodynamic Monitoring classes.
Graduation from an accredited school of licensed practical/licensed
Qualifications and Skills:
Demonstrated ability in implementation of nursing process and to
ensures its implementation in area of assignment. Good human
relations and communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate the
knowledge and skills necessary to provide the care appropriate to
age of the patients served on assigned unit. This statement applies
