Overview: The Registered Nurse is responsible for using the Nursing Process to meet the needs of patients according to the professional standards of nursing care. The RN assures that the philosophy, mission, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Mercy Health Systems are followed. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care of a caseload of patients; delegates appropriatelyand directs staff in the delivery of care. Qualifications: * Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing required * Licensure: Current licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. * Certifications: Current Basic Life Support Certification through an American Heart Association approved program. * Other : Ability to hear and read effectively. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to navigate effectively in many computer systems. Ability to work in a team focused environment. Ability to work in a rapid-paced work environment. Ability to work independently. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to provide quality bedside patient care. * Preferred Experience : At leat one year previous experience in clinical nursing preferred. * Preferred Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support * Preferred Other : Additional languages preferred.
