As a member of a global, diverse and collaborative team, you will partner with case teams and Practice Areas to bring creative information solutions and industry knowledge to solve our client's most challenging business issues.The Senior Director is responsible for the management and development of all researchers within a Region. The Senior Director is also a member of the Senior IS Leadership Team and works collaboratively with this global team to develop and deploy global policies and programs. WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM Based in Bain's London, Paris or Munich office, the Senior Director (Regional) Information Services is responsible for planning and developing the IS strategy for the Region. The Senior Director owns the implementation and deployment of regional standards, services and strategy to ensure alignment with global IS policies and practices in conjunction with the Vice President, Global Information Services WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Works with Senior Global Information Services Leadership team to identify and develop global and regional best practices, operational efficiencies and service quality standards
• Directly manages and is consensus reviewer of all local IS Senior Managers and Directors within the Region
• Builds support and consensus for IS initiatives across Bain Leadership within the region
• Recognized as influential senior leader and advisor within IS; seen as a role model
• Seen as senior advisor by regional Leadership for issues pertaining to direction and investment in IS
• Manages and tracks regional budget including regional spending and compensation
• Works with the Managers (Practice) to focus on building industry expertise across a virtual team of researchers within the Region
• Provides dotted-line management to the Managers (Practice)
• Evaluates opportunities for regional coordination, cooperation, cost savings and shared capacity and implements in conjunction with other regional managers
• Responsible for managing regional Shared Research Services function
• Oversees vendor regional vendor portfolio and works with the Global IS Resources Director and local IS Managers/Senior Managers/Directors in the evaluation and negotiation for desktop and professional research databases and services
• Coordinates agenda for the regional IS meetings in conjunction with the local IS
• Managers/Senior Managers and Directors
• Organizes regular conference calls with regional IS Senior Managers and Directors to build a strong regional management team, strategize on regional and local projects, share capacity opportunities and leverage best demonstrated practices
• Hold regular regional Communication meetings
• Works with Managers, Senior Managers and Directors to coordinate regional training for researchers related to industry expertise
• Meets with the Regional Managing Director at least once a year to discuss IS progress, customer satisfaction and Worldwide Employee results
• Clear grasp of pertinent HR laws and regulations
• Shares operational BDPs with regional offices ABOUT YOU
  • You'll have an advanced degree in Information Science or Business from an accredited university - or equivalent higher education degree
  • Twelve years of Information Services managerial experience, preferably in a consulting, financial services or other professional services environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting complex research inquiries using a wide range of data resources in a fast-paced professional services environment
  • Ability to act as a change agent
  • Experience managing, mentoring and coaching senior employees
  • Demonstrated relationship building and relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience and demonstrated effectiveness in leading and working with a virtual regional team
  • Solid project management and team leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills within Bain environment
  • Ability to work with senior consulting management
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in native language and English required
