Job Summary Roxtec is seeking a detail-oriented and technically adept Test & Certifications Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in fire protection systems, firestop testing, and mechanical installation practices. The Test & Certification Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of products through comprehensive testing, certification, and verification processes. You will manage product certifications, coordinate with third-party testing agencies, and translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A key part of this role is the ability to communicate intricate engineering concepts in a way that is accessible and meaningful to individuals without a technical background, including customers, sales teams, and regulatory partners. Essential Job Functions - Create and maintain product certification/approval documentation. - Monitor applicable standards for modifications, addendums and updates that may impact certifications/approvals for Roxtec products. - Serve as liaison to testing facilities and certifying organizations. - Schedule and witness tests of Roxtec products by appropriate testing facilities. - Develop and implement procedures for testing and certifying Roxtec products. - Participate in analyzing product deficiencies and production problems and initiating corrective Engineering Change Requests (ECRs). - Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). - Develop and deliver new employee onboarding training. - Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers. - Take part in product development initiatives - Participate in industry standards and technical committees. Requirements: Requirements - Must be a U.S. Citizen - Self-motivated with strong project management skills. - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings, codes, standards, regulations, and test data. - Ability to convey technical information to all levels of an organization. - Effective communication and collaboration abilities - Demonstrate a high level of mechanical aptitude. - Basic understanding of drafting and familiarity with ANSI and ASME standards. - Ability to travel up to 35% of the time Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, fire protection, or electrical engineering or equivalent experience. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Autodesk. - Experience in product testing/certification preferred. - Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) preferred. - Experience in international projects and cross-cultural communication preferred.
