Education Unit Overview: -Are you interested in continuing your

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Dedicated Education Unit is an 18-bed
unit focused on teaching eager and upcoming graduate nurses the
fundamental skills necessary to be successful. We are looking to
build a team of highly engaged nurses who have a passion for
education, patient care, and best practices. This unit will care
for Medical Telemetry patients with a 4:1 patient to nurse ratio
(day shift only). Each nurse will act as a preceptor to two senior
level nursing students who will take total care of the 4 patients.
-A clinical rotation preceptor will also be available for
support/oversight of the students. By joining the Dedicated

Ratio: 4:1 & 6:1Patient Population: tele and med/surgThis unit will
become an educational unit with the opportunity to precept nursing
students!Incentives:
- Education Pathway: LPN to RN
- $10,000 in Assistance for LPN to RN

-Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program;
Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and
successful licensure.
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and
maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which
nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of
Nursing requirements
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support Certification
through an American Heart Association approved program -We Offer
