Job Description:
TITLE: Risk AnalystLOCATION: Tulsa, OKREPROTS TO: Risk Manager,
US/CanadaPRIMARY FUNCTION; Ingredion is hiring a Risk Analyst to
handle both regular and large multi-national accounts. Perform
credit due diligence and make decisions, as well as assist the Risk
Manager, with the granting or recommendation of credit lines to new
and existing customers within the assigned Accounts Receivable
portfolio, which impacts Ingredion's cash flow. Perform timely and
effective review of customer accounts in order to meet the
departmental objectives as well as minimizing potential losses due
to bad debts. Communicate with AR Analysts to ensure proper
collection follow up calls are initiated so customer orders on
Credit Review are released in a timely manner to meet shipment date
deliveries. As a Risk Analyst, your responsibilities will
include:Minimize credit risk by utilizing the SAP & credit systems
to monitor customer's credit lines, changes in payment patterns,
review daily orders referred to credit for approval and take the
necessary actions to improve cash flow, minimize shipping delays
while ensuring that the amount of credit being extended is at level
appropriate to the customer.Evaluate credit risk on existing and
new customers utilizing internal/external resources in defining the
level of credit to be granted or for recommending credit lines
within the Credit Policy in order to protect the assets of the
organization.Identify risk accounts with early warnings on
deteriorating credit risks or problematic accounts in a timely
manner, and inform/implement with the Risk Manager the necessary
actions to minimize potential losses due to bad debt.Special
projects as assigned by the
Risk Manager.Maintain up to date virtual credit files for all
customers.Meet the approval timeline for new customer credit
applications.Maintain good relations with the Sales personnel and
customers when dealing with orders on credit review to maximize
sales, minimize potential losses due to bad debt, while at the same
time strengthening and retaining customer's goodwill and
business.Confer with representatives of Credit Associations and
other businesses to exchange useful information concerning customer
accounts in order to assist in making prudent and informed credit
decisions.Keep effective communication with Risk Manager, AR
Manager and ARQualified candidates will have:College Degree in
Business, Accounting or Credit Designation and/or experience in
credit evaluation/granting of accounts required.Understand
accounting principles and fundamentals of credit analysis.Working
knowledge of credit department operations, credit law, credit
reports, Uniform Commercial Code, and U.S./Canada bankruptcy
laws.Process oriented with attention to detail and follow-up.Strong
problem-solving skills with a proven record of
initiative.Experience establishing and maintaining effective
relationships with customers, sales professionals and inside
support staff.Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Software
applications (Excel, Word, etc).Possess excellent listening and
customer service skills.English speaking, (French and/or Spanish an
