Job Description:
We have openings at our YES Tulsa office. The role of a Nurse
(RN/LPN) requires a High School diploma or equivalent- Possession
of a valid current Oklahoma license as a Registered Nurse or
Practical Nurse approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to
practice nursing and at least two (2) years of professional nursing
experience, including one year in a specialized area of nursing,
appropriate for the healthcare setting; or a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing and one-year relevant experience working with children in
another capacity.The starting hourly rate for a Registered Nurse is
$37.00Evening shift differential- $1.00Overnight shift
differential- $2.00The starting hourly rate for a Licensed
Practical Nurse is $ 28.00Evening shift differential- $

Sign-on BonusSpecial Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Provides
professional nursing services and assumes responsibility for the
direct care of assigned consumers, experiencing trauma related
adjustment problem(s), emotional disorder(s), psychiatric illness
or substance abuse.Knowledge of professional nursing theory,
practices and techniques; medical supplies, sanitation, personal
hygiene and life safety policies, procedures, principles and
practices; nutrition and diet therapy; principles and methods of
teaching; nursing standards for institutional certification;
departmental procedures; pediatric psychiatry and human resources
principles and methods.Skill in developing, planning and
administering an effective nursing care program and applying
nursing care techniques, assessing condition and needs of pediatric
consumers and in training subordinate personnel.Example of Position
Responsibilities:Assumes responsibility for consumer's ages 6-17
admitted to the Urgent Recovery Center.Upon admission, determines
and allocates the type and amount of care required to satisfy the
needs of each consumer.Ensures the effectiveness of care provided
through maintenance and review of clinical charts.Observes
consumer's symptoms and reports the conditions of pediatric
consumers, notifies physician if condition warrants.Intervenes in
crisis situations, utilizing verbal intervention effectively and
physical interventions as needed, articulating to the consumer the
justification for use of limit setting, seclusion or
restraint.Monitors and evaluates all consumers in seclusion and/or
restraint to ensure least restrictive measures and adherence to
center policy.Administers medications and treatments per
physician's orders.Audit charts for documentation to be
updated.Assist physician on daily rounds.Order drugs for Center, if
required.Processes documents signed by the Physician; Processes
Treatment Plans.Coordinates the activities of work at the Center on
a per shift basis to assure that established policy and procedures
are being properly carried out.May assist or facilitate the
admission, discharge or transfer of pediatric consumers; May orient
and inform the family and/or the consumer of the general care plan
and Center's procedures and routine.Interprets policy and procedure
to determine conformance to recognized standards.Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor or URC
Director.Physical Requirements: Must be able to move from location
to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate
clearly, prepare written communications, present information to
other employees, process complex information within established
procedures/programs, enter data to various programs. Must be able
to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped
